About

Renew Enterprises is a social enterprise funded by Pobal which provides employment to those furthest away from the labour market.

At Renew Enterprises, we take pride in offering a diverse range of products such as e-bike hire and bicycle repairs. From our recycled paint that brings new life to tired surfaces, to the refurbished bicycles that encourage greener modes of transport, every item is a testament to our commitment to the environment. 

Our team is dedicated to providing repairs bicycles, ensuring that whether you’re maintaining your bicycle, we are here to support your journey towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

Our e-bike hire, bicycle maintenance and sales, woodwork products and refurbished paint are designed to empower individuals, promoting skill development and fostering a sense of pride in our shared achievements.+

 

At Renew Enterprises, we provide those furthest away form the labour market the skills and experience needed to find employment.

We do this through e-bike hire, bicycle repairs, through manufacturing and sales of woodwork products and the recycling of paint through civic amenities sites.

Renew Enterprises is operated by Treo Port Lairge CLG, funded by Pobal and supported by Waterford City Council.

Donate your bike

At Renew Enterprises, we invite you to breathe new life into our community by donating unwanted bikes.

We take in donations during our working hours of 8.30am – 5pm Tuesday to Friday and 10am – 3.30pm on Saturday.

Who we are ?

Renew is a non-profit Social Enterprise operated by Treo Port Lairge CLG,

A social enterprise is a business that has a social mission. Social, environmental and economic issues are fundamental and drive the business’s core philosophy.

Here at Renew, we undertake to provide saleable products, with the purpose of benefiting the local community at large, and creating employment.

We believe people have the right to participate fully in life from an economic, social and cultural perspective. We also support creating a sustainable future for every member of society and for societies as a whole. We are committed to social inclusion and social justice.

What we do

Renew social enterprise consists of a range of products and services available to the Waterford community. We remain mindful of the need to price our products and services in a manner that makes them affordable.

We offer many services such as e-bike rental, repairs and servicing of bicycles. We also make wooden furniture and sell eco-friendly paint.

We also like to provide those furthest away from the employment ladder the help needed to get back on.

We are open five a days a week (8.30 am – 5 pm Tuesday to Friday & 10 am – 3.30 pm Saturday).

Our ethos is to use as much recycled materials as possible.

Community Engagement

We undertake to provide these saleable products with the purpose of benefiting the local community at large, and creating employment. We believe people have the right to participate fully in life from an economic, social and cultural perspective.

We create full-time employment for people who are most distant from the labour market to learn, train and practice new skills and to experience working in a real time working environment and also offer accredited courses.

Employment Development Pathway

At Renew Enterprises, we believe in the power of second chances and the transformative journey of growth and empowerment.

Our Employment Development Pathway is a programme that offers individuals furthest away from the labour skill development, mentorship, and meaningful work experiences.

Through this we can ensure that our participants gain the confidence and resources they need to succeed in the workplace.

Community Development

At Renew Enterprises, our eco-friendly initiatives a commitment to sustainability and positive change within our community and environment.

By promoting the use of e-bikes, we not only reduce carbon emissions but also encourage healthier lifestyles.

Our dedication to recycling and upcycling materials not only minimises waste but also inspires creativity and innovation.
